Job Description
Veralto is seeking a Technical Sales Manager for Solar Energy in Anaheim, CA, responsible for driving sales growth in the North American West Region. The role involves promoting solar products, building customer relationships, and achieving sales targets through various channels. Candidates should have over 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in solar energy, and must be willing to travel 50% of the time.
About the position
The Technical Sales Manager for Solar Energy at Veralto is responsible for driving growth and expansion of sales within the North American West Region. This role involves promoting OTT HydroMet's solar energy product lines, establishing relationships with key customers, and meeting sales targets through direct and indirect sales channels. The position requires a proactive approach to business development, effective territory management, and collaboration with various internal departments to negotiate contracts and manage customer projects.
Responsibilities
• Actively seeks and develops new business opportunities with direct and indirect channels through various sales activities.

• Demonstrates time and territory balance by developing and executing a plan to maximize time in the field with customers and prospects.

• Stays informed on industry trends through collaboration with peers, industry publications, and conference attendance.

• Negotiates and executes contracts and customer-specific project initiatives through various internal departments.

• Uses metrics, KPI, and forecasting to self-manage productivity and meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume.

• Develops, nurtures, and understands the health of the customer opportunity funnel.
Requirements
• 5+ years of sales/commercial experience in an industrial B2B environment; solar energy experience is a plus.

• BA or BSc degree in a management or science-related field such as Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent is an asset.

• Demonstrated relational and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate with people of various technical backgrounds.

• Proficiency in the use of a CRM tool for funnel management and forecasting.

• Ability to travel 50% of the time within the west region with a valid driver's license.
