Job Summary

The Mizuno Lab is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our Orthopaedics research team. The ideal candidate will support ongoing intervertibular disc research projects.

This position involves laboratory research, data collection, analysis, and contributing to the preparation of research publications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in pursuing a career in biomedical engineering, cell biology and regenerative medicine.

Qualifications

The Mizuno Lab is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our orthopaedic research team. The ideal candidate will facilitate ongoing intervertebral disc and cartilage research projects, and developments of cell culture technologies.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in pursuing a career in biomedical engineering and cell biology. This position involves laboratory research, data collection, analysis, and contributing to the preparation of research publications.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist team to operate novel cell process systems and culture modules.
• Prepare research materials, conduct molecular and biochemical assay, and histological staining.
• Collect, process, and analyze data from research, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Maintain and organize research records, databases, and document reports.
• Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and ensure the proper use and upkeep of research tools and good work environment.
• Conduct statistical analyses and present findings in written reports and presentations.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering and/or biology relevant fields including any wet lab experience. Any type of extracurricular engineering relevant activity including hobby is encouraged.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to manual skills.
