Job Title: Technical Project Manager – eCommerce & Fulfillment Systems

Location: Fairfield, OH (Cincinnati) / Salt Lake City, UT / Nicholasville, KY (Lexington)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Chief Technology Officer

Position Overview

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager with hands-on experience in eCommerce operations and 3PL fulfillment systems. This role is critical to driving the success of projects in a fast-moving, loosely structured environment built on the Microsoft Azure cloud stack. The ideal candidate is a pragmatic communicator, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and capable of translating between business needs and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the conduit between eCommerce brand teams, warehouse operations, 3PL logistics partners, and internal engineering/IT teams.
• Collect and document project requirements by interviewing stakeholders, analyzing existing systems, and proactively identifying gaps—always distinguishing business wants vs. operational needs.
• Translate high-level objectives into clear, actionable technical and functional requirements that align with the capabilities of the Azure platform and integrated systems (e.g., Shopify, ShipCaddie, our WMS platform).
• Create user stories, test cases, use cases, and acceptance criteria that reflect real-world fulfillment and brand operations.
• Support internal teams by drafting clear documentation, follow-ups, and reminders — adapting communication style for operations, IT, or external stakeholders as needed.
• Facilitate and participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing), ensuring new features or integrations function as expected before deployment.
• Actively manage project timelines with flexibility and ownership, providing just enough structure to maintain momentum without disrupting team workflows.
• Track multiple overlapping initiatives across fulfillment, inventory, returns, and customer order workflows, etc.
• Work closely with DevOps and IT teams to align resources and services to meet project needs.

Skills & Experience
• 3+ years in technical project management, ideally in eCommerce, retail systems, or logistics/fulfillment.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate unstructured or lightly structured environments, using judgment and initiative to drive progress.
• Understanding of 3PL operations, order lifecycle, and fulfillment workflows.
• Experience gathering and documenting functional vs. technical requirements in systems that touch WMS, OMS, and ERP.
• Ability to test and validate systems (e.g., integrations with shipping APIs, product sync logic, inventory updates).
• Excellent communication skills — able to brief C-level stakeholders, coach end users, and specify technical tasks for developers.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Suite of Office tools

Nice to Have
• Familiarity with Shopify, ShipCaddie, Loop Returns, or similar platforms.
• Light SQL querying or ability to validate data pipelines.
• Experience managing third-party vendors and remote teams.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services such as App Services, Azure SQL, Blob Storage.
