Job Description
Hydro Tasmania is seeking a Technical Manager for the Tamar Valley Power Station in Jharkhand, India. Manage the delivery of maintenance and engineering services to Tamar Valley Power Station (TVPS)

Who are you?
You’re an experienced technical leader with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and a solid background in power plant operations, ideally specialising in industrial gas turbines and heat recovery steam generators. You bring extensive knowledge of thermal power plant technology, particularly in gas- and oil-fired systems, and have a practical approach to delivering effective technical solutions. Your strong interpersonal skills, commitment to safety, and environmental awareness set you apart as a leader who can navigate complex challenges while ensuring operational excellence. With a knack for work planning, risk management, and adhering to systems and quality standards, you’re efficient in developing and managing budgets to drive success.
About The Role
To put it simply… You will manage the delivery of maintenance and engineering services to Tamar Valley Power Station with a focus on efficient and economical plant operations & service delivery.
As a Technical Manager, you will be…
✓ Overseeing and coordinating technical services, ensuring alignment with the strategic operations and maintenance (O&M) plan for TVPS.
✓ Leading the technical performance of equipment and service providers, including managing major works programs.
✓ Leading the development of a long-term investment plan, managing the life cycle of the asset to balance production, risk, and resources.
✓ Tracking project expenditures and progress against budgets, addressing any forecast variances as needed.
✓ Contributing technical, operational, and cost insights to support new project initiatives.
✓ Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and customers, both within and outside the organisation.
