The Operational Technology group are implementing world-leading technology to support Australia’s clean energy future. These roles are a great blend of innovative software products, agile ways of working, whilst supporting critical control systems for a positive purpose. We are seeking to recruit two roles.

Operational Technology Systems Engineer

We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer or Systems Integrator or similar Software person to join our Operational Technology team on a permanent full-time basis and based in Adelaide, South Australia. As the Systems Engineer you will work on ensuring Operational Systems are enhanced, supported and sustained over the long term. This will involve working with users to evolve software product for renewable energy strategies, ensure long term reliability of systems, and ensure they are integrated with other systems to provide data visibility and reliable performance of the energy network. You will have the opportunity to work with business users, and use your systems engineering skills, innovation and problems solving to continually improve our network.

Operational Technology Engineer

We are currently seeking an Operational Technology Engineer to join our Operational Technology team on a permanent full-time basis and based in Adelaide, South Australia. The Operational Technology Engineer is responsible for the planning, delivery, operations, and maintenance of the Operational Technology applications portfolio with the emphasis on the SCADA / Energy Management System applications and Wide Area Monitoring System. Typical Operational Technology works would include developing single line displays for substations, maintenance of databases through addition or deletion of new points, commissioning activities of the works commenced, maintenance and support of other operational systems, ensuring resilient performance with growing renewables energy.

About You

To be successful in these two critical roles, you will possess the following:

Operational Technology Systems Engineer

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, Computer Science, Technology or relevant discipline

• Minimum of 4 years’ work experience in a systems engineering or systems integration type role.

• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of networking and security, operating systems, virtual environments, and systems integration.

• Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle, especially systems integration, verification & validation, operations and support.

• Demonstrated ability to initiate development and modifications to operational processes and continuous improvement in team-based environments.

Operational Technology Engineer

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Production Systems Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or relevant discipline.

• Previous experience in an Engineering, ICT or Utilities business

• Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a systems, technology or engineering role.

• Demonstrated ability to follow through with detailed analysis and activity to deliver a quality engineering work.

• Demonstrated ability and skills to act to minimise errors and maintain quality standards

• Well-developed analytical, investigation and problem-solving skills

• Experience in testing and troubleshooting control systems, including input and output point to point checks.
