Responsibilities Interpret and analyze data from CarbonCapture systems and prototypes. Contribute to the development of internal system and process models. Develop and document solutions to system architecture challenges including process flows, control philosophy, equipment type and sizing, risk analysis, and instrumentation requirements. Perform techno-economic case studies and sensitivity analysis to support technology, commercial, material, and project team efforts. Collaborate with other internal and external engineering groups to solve technical problems, manage requirements and tradeoffs, and ensure proper system integration. Take initiative to uncover and investigate opportunities for system improvement. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. 3+ years of relevant full-time industry experience. Prior experience modeling systems in Excel, Python, and/or other software tools. Desired Background Proficiency in Python and/or other scientific computing tools. Proven experience in generating process design deliverables, including PFDs, P&IDs, design basis, control narratives, and heat and mass balances. Background in energy systems or chemical process design, with a strong emphasis on direct air capture of CO2. Familiarity with process engineering software tools like Aspen.
