Sustainable Procurement Manager

Costain Group is seeking a Sustainable Procurement Manager in the UK to support the sustainable procurement strategy and achieve ESG targets. The role involves implementing roadmaps for compliance with regulations, managing supplier relationships, and promoting sustainability within procurement. This full-time position reports to the Head of Sustainable Procurement and focuses on driving efficiency and innovation in the supply chain.
The Procurement and Supply Chain Management function is responsible for the interface with those third-party organisations who support our business whether that be for procurement of goods and services or the relationship management that underpins any such activities. They support project delivery teams across the sectors to ensure the strategic direction is identified and delivered.

The role of Sustainable Procurement Manager will report to the Head of Sustainable Procurement (SP) & Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM). The candidate will be responsible for supporting the design and implementation of the sustainable & responsible procurement strategy and plan.

The postholder will devise and implement robust roadmaps, with associated improvement plans to achieve our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) targets to be flowed down to our strategic suppliers.

This role is a key enabler to ensuring we are fully compliant with all regulatory requirements and that we accelerate our implementation of sustainable procurement requirements, including transition to net zero greenhouse gas emissions, achieving biodiversity net gain and managing our social value risks including, EDI, modern slavery amongst others, whilst simultaneously setting and measuring appropriate ESG targets with our key suppliers.
