The Green Recruitment Company is currently looking for a Sustainable Development Project Manager with a focus on the renewables sector in Italy.
Responsibilities:
• Site Identification and Acquisition: Identify suitable greenfield sites for renewable energy projects through market analysis, GIS mapping, and collaboration with landowners and stakeholders. Additionally, negotiate land leases and acquisition agreements.
• Permitting and Regulatory Compliance: Manage the permitting process for renewable energy projects, including environmental impact assessments, land use permits, and regulatory approvals. In addition, ensure compliance with local, regional, and national regulations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including landowners, local communities, government agencies, and NGOs. Furthermore, communicate project plans, address concerns, and seek support for project development initiatives.
• Financial Analysis and Feasibility Studies: Conduct financial analysis and feasibility studies to assess the viability of renewable energy projects. Evaluate project economics, risks, and returns on investment.
• Project Planning and Design: Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to develop project plans and designs. In addition, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize project layouts, technology selection, and resource assessments.
• Contract Negotiation and Procurement: Lead contract negotiation and procurement activities for project development, including equipment supply agreements, construction contracts, and service agreements.
• Project Management: Oversee project development activities to ensure timely execution and delivery of milestones. Additionally, monitor project schedules, budgets, and resources. Moreover, identify and mitigate risks to project success.
• Community Relations and Public Outreach: Implement community relations and public outreach initiatives to foster positive relationships with local communities and stakeholders. Provide information and education about renewable energy benefits and project impacts.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, business administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a focus on greenfield development.
• Furthermore, a strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project development processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Moreover, proven track record of successfully developing and permitting renewable energy projects in Italy.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• In addition, the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
• Fluency in Italian and English languages. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
• Lastly, willingness to travel within Italy and occasionally internationally.
