Energy Performance Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of energy-efficient design principles and the ability to analyze complex building systems. Our team is seeking an experienced Energy Modeler to join our dynamic group of professionals in Vancouver, BC.

We are looking for a skilled professional with expertise in parametric modeling, energy analysis, and low-carbon HVAC system design. Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and parametric modeling software such as DesignBuilder or IESVE is required. Knowledge of building and energy codes (BCBC, VBBL, BC Energy Step Code, NECB, etc.) is also essential.

This role requires close collaboration with building science, mechanical, and electrical designers to identify and apply efficient, low-carbon design solutions. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage task sequencing, project budgets, and scale the level/depth of analysis to client expectations and project schedules.

• Manage and deliver energy and carbon performance analysis/modeling for new builds and retrofits.
• Prepare simulation models in support of code compliance, green building rating systems, utility incentive programs, and/or municipal/federal policy.
• Collaborate closely with building science, mechanical, and electrical designers to identify and apply efficient, low-carbon design solutions.
• Write technical reports.
