Eight Versa is seeking a Sustainability and Building LCA Consultant to join their London-based team. The role involves managing sustainability strategies, performing LCA calculations, and collaborating with various stakeholders. Candidates should have a relevant degree and experience in building LCAs. The Opportunity:

Eight Versa is a multidisciplinary sustainability consultancy delivering holistic and credible sustainable solutions for both the corporate and built environment.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sustainability and Building LCA Consultant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects and play a key role in shaping a greener future.

You will be based in our London office and join a team of highly skilled consultants who bring their cross-industry experience and in-depth knowledge to find bespoke solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities:

Manage the delivery of sustainability strategies and services, including:

· BREEAM LCA, BREEAM LCC, Whole Life Carbon, Pre Demolition Audit etc.

· Perform detailed calculations to find material flows, greenhouse gas emissions footprints and other environmental metrics as may be required

· Interpret LCA results and provide clear and concise reports, identifying key environmental impacts and opportunities for improvement

· Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate LCA findings into the building design and construction process

· Develop Circular economy statements

· Contribute to the development of sustainability strategies and frameworks for building projects, including BREEAM, LEED, and other green building certifications

· Participate in business development activities, including supporting with proposals and presentations

· Promote and engage commercial clients on the merits of LCA and circular economy principles.

Personal attributes and skills:

· Have a passion for sustainability and sustainable built environment

· A degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Architecture, Sustainable Building Design

· Proven experience in conducting building LCAs, preferably with a demonstrable portfolio of completed projects

· Knowledge of using various LCA software OneClick LCA or OpenLCA

· Knowledge of green building rating systems (e.g., BREEAM, LEED) and sustainability best practices

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· A swift problem-solver with initiative

· Strong analytical skills and attention to details

· Understanding of the sustainability challenges that organisations face in today’s climate
