About the position
The Sustainability Specialist at Weatherford is a key member of the Corporate Sustainability team, responsible for leading the development and implementation of Environmental Social & Governance (ESG) programming within the upstream Value Chain/Supply Chain. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance supplier ESG programming, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and driving sustainability initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities
• Lead the development and implementation of ESG programming within the Supply Chain.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve supplier ESG processes and controls.
,
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and service quality standards in ESG programming.
,
• Maintain corporate governance standards and ensure ethical compliance in all activities.
,
• Support the establishment of supplier governance and processes for external reporting.
,
• Develop action plans and timelines for supplier ESG initiatives.
,
• Communicate ESG risk mitigation strategies to suppliers and follow up on implementation results.
,
• Facilitate change management and promote awareness of ESG issues within the organization.
,
• Support financial management of sustainability costs and implications.
,
• Provide coaching and mentoring to internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Requirements
• 3-5 years of professional experience in Supplier Management and/or Supplier ESG.
,
• BS or MS degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or Environmental Engineering/sciences.
,
• In-depth knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and methodologies (e.g., GHG Protocol, GRI, SBTi, ISO).
,
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and brief senior leadership.
,
• Strong project management, influencing, and collaboration skills.
,
• Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience with diversity and human rights programming in supply chains.

• Familiarity with third-party Supplier Risk Platforms (e.g., Sphera, HICX, Avetta).
,
• Experience in drafting sustainability clauses in contracts.
,
• Experience in developing external Environmental, HSE, or Sustainability reports.

• Experience with external Assurance Audits.
