Job Description

Advance Recycling Enterprise Pte Ltd is hiring a Sustainability Solutions Consultant in Singapore. The role involves leading the commercialization of 100% recycled plastic pallets, engaging with customers, conducting market research, and promoting sustainable materials in logistics. Responsibilities include developing go-to-market strategies, building relationships with decision-makers, and tracking sustainability metrics. Candidates should have 2-3 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in sustainable materials.

We are seeking a passionate and driven Sustainable Product Development Specialist to lead the commercialisation of our innovative 100% recycled plastic pallets. This role is at the forefront of our company's sustainability transformation, bridging the gap between our recycling operations and the growing market demand for circular economy solutions .

You will be responsible for taking our new product line—made entirely from recycled plastic waste—to market, engaging with customers to promote sustainable alternatives to traditional wood pallets, and gathering critical market feedback to inform continuous product improvement. This is not just a sales role; it is a mission to drive the adoption of sustainable materials in logistics and manufacturing .

Key Responsibilities

1. Sustainable Product Commercialisation

· Lead the go-to-market strategy for our 100% recycled plastic pallets, targeting manufacturing plants, logistics companies, and export businesses.

· Develop and deliver compelling value propositions that highlight the environmental and economic benefits of switching from wood to recycled plastic pallets (durability, safety, export compliance, carbon footprint reduction).

· Conduct market research to identify customer needs and sustainability trends in the logistics and supply chain sectors.

2. Circular Economy Business Development

· Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers (Warehouse Managers, Procurement Directors, Sustainability Officers) to promote circular economy principles.

· Educate customers on how adopting recycled plastic pallets contributes to their own ESG goals and sustainability reporting requirements .

· Collaborate with the operations team to ensure product quality meets customer expectations and sustainability claims are validated.

3. Customer Engagement for Sustainable Solutions

· Act as the primary liaison between customers and our production team, gathering feedback on product performance and identifying opportunities for product innovation (e.g., custom sizes, load capacities).

· Support customers in understanding the lifecycle assessment (LCA) benefits of recycled materials compared to virgin wood or plastic .

· Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and sustainability forums to promote our recycled products and build brand awareness.

4. Sustainability Impact Tracking

· Track and report on key sustainability metrics, such as the volume of plastic waste diverted from landfills through our pallet production and the estimated carbon emissions saved by customers switching to our products.

· Contribute to the company's sustainability reporting by documenting the positive environmental impact of our new product line.

· Identify opportunities for further product innovation that align with circular economy principles and emerging sustainability regulations .

Qualifications & Person Specification

Essential Experience & Skills:

· Minimum 2-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in industrial products, logistics, manufacturing, or sustainable materials .

· Proven ability to build relationships with B2B customers and influence decision-makers.

· Strong understanding of or genuine passion for sustainability, circular economy, and environmental issues .

· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical product benefits into compelling customer stories.

· Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently in an outdoor/field sales environment.

· Own transport and willingness to travel to customer sites regularly.

Desirable Attributes:

· Experience selling sustainable products or working in the recycling/waste management sector.

· Knowledge of plastic materials, pallet specifications, or logistics operations (Optional)

· Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field .
