Sustainability Project Coordinator

The Sustainability Project Coordinator internship at beBeeSustainability in Des Moines, IA offers hands-on experience with ISO 14001 systems and sustainability reporting. • The internship offers hands-on experience with ISO 14001 systems, sustainability reporting, and environmental projects in a real-world manufacturing environment.
• The intern will be responsible for maintaining the company's ISO 14001 EMS and supporting environmental reporting through data collection and documentation.
• The role also involves preparing information for sustainability reporting platforms and contributing to the development of the company's Corporate Sustainability Report.
• In addition, the intern will participate in cross-functional projects that promote environmental stewardship, assist with internal audits and compliance documentation, and gain exposure to EHS activities.
• To qualify for this position, candidates must be pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Health, Public Health, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field. They should have strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and interest in environmental compliance, sustainability, or ESG reporting.
• The ideal candidate will also have ability to work in a manufacturing environment exposed to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and variable temperatures, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
