Job Description

The Sustainability Lead will oversee the development and implementation of sustainable infrastructure investments to support the city's environmental objectives. The role requires excellent communication and coordination skills to work with various stakeholders, including engineers, architects, operators, community boards, and urban planners.

Main Responsibilities:
• Sustainable Infrastructure Investments: Ensure that infrastructure projects meet sustainable objectives by balancing social, environmental, and economic impacts.
• Program Management: Develop and manage the sustainability program, including monitoring regulatory changes, tracking key performance indicators, and providing support services to engineering project teams.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external entities to advance sustainability goals through data analysis, workshops, presentations, and other activities.
• Certification and Training: Facilitate LEED and Envision project certifications and provide training to agency staff on sustainable practices.

Requirements:
• Education: Master's degree in an appropriate field of physical, biological, or environmental science or public health.
• Experience: At least two years of full-time experience in a responsible supervisory, administrative, or research capacity in the relevant field.
• Skills: Excellent communication, organization, writing, and public speaking skills, as well as proficiency in computer software, including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
