Job Summary

The Energy (Lab Environments) intern will work with Utilities and Energy Management on improving energy efficiency in lab environments. This role supports the UK User-Led Environmental Lab Excellence (UKULELE) Program by working with operational and lab stakeholders to develop new or enhance existing initiatives. No prior lab experience required, but familiarity with lab environments (such as coursework or research) is a plus. This intern will also have the opportunity to explore renewable energy concepts, emissions reduction strategies, or other energy efficiency improvements as part of a sustainability project proposal.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Knowledge of or familiarity with defined area of operational/administrative/technical specialty.

Entry-level knowledge and skill at the Bachelors or Masters level within specified area of professional specialty. Ability to understand and follow complex, detailed technical instructions.

Project planning skills. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
