Job Description

Aviva is seeking a Sustainability Officer in Madrid, Spain, to lead sustainability initiatives. Candidates should have a degree in sustainability and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include developing sustainability strategies, analyzing data, and collaborating with stakeholders. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage projects. The position is full-time with a salary of €32K–€38K per year.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the organisation, demonstrating leadership in our sustainability efforts and helping to guide our vision for a sustainable future.The ideal candidate will have a degree in sustainability or a related field, as well as at least 5 years’ experience in a sustainability-focused role. The successful candidate will have a strong background in sustainability strategy and policy development, as well as an understanding of environmental and social issues.We are seeking a candidate who is motivated and enthusiastic; someone who can work independently and collaboratively to achieve our sustainability goals. Responsibilities:
Develop and implement sustainability strategies and policies to ensure the organisation meets its sustainability goals.
Analyse environmental and social data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
Monitor and report on progress towards sustainability goals.
Liaise with governmental bodies and other organisations to ensure compliance with sustainability regulations and standards.
Educate colleagues and other stakeholders on sustainability issues and best practices.
Research and evaluate new technologies and solutions to support the organisation’s sustainability goals.
Develop and manage projects to drive the organisation’s sustainability objectives.
Identify and track sustainability metrics to evaluate performance.
Keep abreast of relevant industry trends and updates.
