Job Description
Philip Morris International seeks a Sustainability Manager in Johannesburg, South Africa. The role involves developing and executing sustainability strategies and policies to meet company goals. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in sustainability management, preferably in the tobacco industry, and a relevant bachelor's degree. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential. The position offers a full-time schedule with a salary range of ZAR 432K–ZAR 714K.
At Philip Morris International (PMI) we are looking for a passionate and driven Sustainability Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for helping PMI maintain our commitment to sustainability through the development of strategies, policies, and initiatives that meet our sustainability goals.The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in sustainability management, preferably in the tobacco industry. They should also have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and an understanding of how to create and implement sustainability plans. They should be ambitious, creative, and have excellent communication and collaboration skills.We’re looking for someone who can work independently and in teams to develop and execute strategies that are both innovative and in line with our sustainability objectives. Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sustainability strategies, policies, and initiatives that meet PMI's sustainability goals.
Analyze and monitor the latest sustainability trends and regulations in order to develop innovative solutions.
Work independently and in teams to create sustainable plans that are innovative and in line with objectives.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders within and outside of the tobacco industry.
Collaborate with other departments to identify, develop, and implement new sustainability projects.
Prepare and present reports and updates on sustainability initiatives to management.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
