Sustainability Manager

National Engineering Industries Ltd. (NBC Bearings) is seeking a Sustainability Manager based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, with over 5 years of experience in ESG and sustainability. Key responsibilities include supporting ESG strategy implementation, performance monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with ESG requirements. The role involves travel to different plants and requires a background in engineering, preferably in Environmental Engineering, along with knowledge of sustainability practices and relevant certifications.
Job Description

Location - Jaipur

Experience- 5+ Years

Key Responsibilities

Support in Organization’s ESG strategies
• Co-ordinate with stakeholders to support in implementation of ESG strategies.
• Support in developing ESG roadmap based on stakeholder’s (external & internal) inputs.
• Travel to different plant as and when required

Support in ESG Performance monitoring & reporting
• Follow-up for tracking and analyzing KPIs related to Environmental impact, social responsibility, and governance practices.
• Support to compile data and preparing reports on ESG performance

On-time compliance of different ESG requirements
• Understand customer requirements, convert in NEI’s perspective and support to collect all required data.
• Ensure all the requirements within the stipulated timeline.
• Support in fulfilling EcoVadis, CDP, SBTi, GRI, BRSR, GreenCo and other related disclosure and assessment platforms

Stakeholder engagement
• Assist in coordination amongst various functions of NEI at Central level and plant level for organizing stakeholder discussions with external partners of NEI.
• Informing NEI ESG committee members (Core Committee, Steering Committee and Management Committee) of scheduled/upcoming meetings on progress update
• Circulating minutes of meetings held with NEI ESG Committee members.
• Assisting in getting sign offs from each data validator on data received from respective function

Training & awareness
• Preparing flyers for various events as per the ESG calendar of events
• Support in preparing ESG annual training calendar and ensure its adherence with HR, IR, and relevant stakeholders

Continuous improvement
• Support in lowering down carbon emission & enhance ESG index of organization.
• Support in ESG related projects monitoring & effectiveness.
• Support to ensure implementation of Carbon Emission Portal
• Conduct internal ESG audits and ensure on time closure of non-conformities with appropriate root cause and corrective action with sustenance

Management Update
• Releasing monthly MIS for associated role
• Preparing weekly and monthly presentation/update for management review
• Perform gap analysis of reported issues to identify major contributing areas and derive improvement plan

Educational Qualifications / Technical Training/ Certifications

Graduate in Engineering (B.Tech. or B.E.) from Environmental Engineering is preferred.

Mechanical, Automotive & Industrial stream with required ESG/Sustainability experience could be considered.

Relevant and total years of Experience

Relevant:

2+ years of experience in ESG / Sustainability / Carbon Emission / Neutrality / Net Zero / Carbon emission assessment / BRSR / CDP / EcoVadis / GreenCo

Total:

5+ years of experience in Automotive industry

Functional Skills
• Knowledge of UN Sustainability Goals
• Knowledge of Carbon emission assessment tools
• Knowledge of GHG protocols, GRI, EcoVadis, CDP, GreenCo, SBTi
• Data Analysis
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001. Knowledge of IATF norms is preferable.
