Sustainability Manager

About the Role

The Sustainability Manager is an integral part of Latham's Global Citizenship team and will be responsible for overseeing, leading, and managing sustainability initiatives across the organization, while utilizing expertise in greenhouse gas, accounting, and sustainability reporting frameworks to lead third-party environmental reporting activities through frameworks (e.g., CDP, SBTi, EcoVadis). This role will be located in either our New York or Washington, D.C. office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:
• Remaining informed about local, global, and industry-level sustainability trends and legislation, ensuring compliance across all operational areas, including, but not limited to, CSRD, CSDDD, and California disclosure requirements
• Establishing processes to ensure the completeness and accuracy of information reported in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Managing client sustainability surveys and questionnaires, including engagement with client sustainability teams as needed
• Fostering strong cross-functional collaboration with key business departments to support sustainability initiatives and enhance the sustainability of the firm's operations
• Building and maintaining relationships with external partners, including consultants, clients, and sustainability industry organizations
• Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

We'd love to hear from you if you:
• Demonstrate fluency in GHG Protocol and decarbonization frameworks (e.g., SBTi), experience in corporate sustainability at an enterprise organization, including operational/facility-level sustainability experience, and familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., CSRD; CSDDD)
• Display the ability to collect, process, and analyze large quantities of data in Excel, Tableau, or other analytics software
• Possess the ability to assess operating conditions, efficiency, and applicable standards relative to building and infrastructure

And have:
• A bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, business administration, or an equivalent
• A master's degree in sustainability or a related field, preferably
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in corporate sustainability in a large enterprise organizational setting

Pay Range

USD $150,000.00 - USD $165,000.00 /Yr.
