Job Description
CMA CGM is seeking a Sustainability Manager in Miami, FL, responsible for executing the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy for North America. Key duties include leading impactful campaigns, managing partnerships with NGOs, preparing reports, and supporting budget development. About the position
The Sustainability Manager at CMA CGM Group will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy for North America. This position is designed for a dynamic individual who will engage with both internal and external stakeholders across the Group's offices and terminals in the U.S. and Canada. The Sustainability Manager will act as the North America CSR Referent, responsible for implementing impactful campaigns, monitoring CSR Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and preparing necessary reports for the CSR Agency Network and General Agency. This role is crucial in fostering partnerships with local and regional NGOs, managing funding requests, and creating guidance calendars for organizations seeking support from the Group. In addition to partnership management, the Sustainability Manager will support proposal development, prepare briefings and business case analyses for the CCA executive team and Head Office, and contribute to the department's budget development and tracking. The role also includes preparing and updating annual energy and water conservation plans across the region, recommending procedural changes when improvement opportunities are identified, and leading the recruitment, training, and day-to-day coaching of new hires. Collaboration with peers across departments is essential to support the Group's broader CSR and Sustainability objectives, ensuring that the initiatives align with the Group's commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.
Responsibilities
• Develop and lead the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy for North America.

• Act as the NAM CSR Referent, executing impactful campaigns and monitoring CSR KPIs.

• Prepare reports as required by the CSR Agency Network and General Agency.

• Serve as the primary contact for local and regional partnerships with NGOs.
,
• Manage funding requests and create guidance calendars for organizations seeking support.
,
• Support proposal development and prepare briefings for the CCA executive team and Head Office.
,
• Contribute to the department's budget development and tracking.
,
• Prepare and update annual energy and water conservation plans across the region.
,
• Recommend procedural changes when improvement opportunities are identified.

• Lead the recruitment, training, and day-to-day coaching of new hires.

• Collaborate with peers across departments to support broader CSR and Sustainability objectives.

• Plan and organize engagement and education campaigns and events for all staff.

• Develop strategies for increasing staff and customer engagement in local actions and campaigns.

• Organize and leverage the HO CSR Ambassador Program in North America.

• Develop and maintain mechanisms to capture CSR engagement data and prepare bi-weekly and monthly reports.

• Monitor and maintain core systems and dashboards related to sustainability.
Requirements
• Strong knowledge of maritime sustainable development concepts and strategies.

• Strong knowledge of the Supply Chain Transportation industry.
,
• Clear understanding of Group and CCA sustainability goals and objectives.
,
• Knowledge of and experience with CCA customers/clients.
,
• Strong knowledge of CMA CGM organizational structure and services/network.
,
• Experience working with U.S. and Canada NGOs.
,
• General experience of 5-10 years; Industry experience of 3-5 years; Project management experience.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience working with NGOs and/or public agencies preferred.
