About the position

The Sustainability Manager for Product and Raw Materials at Ralph Lauren is responsible for managing the identification, evaluation, and tracking of sustainable materials and packaging used by the company. This role aims to inform Ralph Lauren's transparency and traceability strategies, as well as other sustainability initiatives related to products and packaging. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability data into reporting and compliance efforts, while also providing expertise in life cycle assessments and sustainable material certifications.

Responsibilities
• Engage cross-functional teams to integrate product and material impact data into relevant reporting and regulatory workstreams.

• Support collection, analysis, and management of data on product and material impact and packaging for regulatory compliance readiness.

• Provide subject matter expertise and project management for life cycle assessment (LCA) workstreams.
,
• Evaluate new sustainable material and packaging certifications to inform decision-making.
,
• Conduct environmental impact reviews of new product technologies to inform recommendations to Innovation and R&D teams.
,
• Support teams in the uptake of sustainable wood materials for store interiors.
,
• Identify, evaluate, and adopt more sustainable packaging materials across the business.
,
• Manage collection, tracking, and analysis of packaging sustainability data for annual reporting and strategy improvement.
,
• Provide expertise on adopting sustainable packaging options for apparel, retail, and logistics.
,
• Support engagement in relevant external stakeholder groups.

Requirements
• Experience in a corporate sustainability setting.
,
• Preferred experience in environmental science, engineering, sustainable development, or materials management.
,
• Solid understanding of environmental sustainability issues and impact measurement, with preference for life-cycle assessment and/or sustainable packaging experience.
,
• Ability to work in a global, diverse, and dynamic cross-functional environment with strong collaboration and communication skills.

• Advanced Excel experience.
