Microsoft is seeking a Sustainability Insights Manager for its Cloud Supply Chain Sustainability team in Hyderabad, India. The role involves optimizing sustainability data management and engaging with various teams to enhance data-driven insights. Key responsibilities include program management, data analysis, compliance reporting, and supplier training. Candidates should have a degree in a relevant field, over 5 years of program management experience, and a focus on sustainability outcomes.
Welcome to Cloud Supply Chain Sustainability (CSCS). We manage global operations for the reverse supply chain across Azure Cloud hardware and strive for more sustainable outcomes across the entire cloud hardware global supply chain. As Microsoft Azure scales becoming the world’s computer, the scopes of circular asset lifecycle management and supply chain sustainability require continuous rethinking and transformation via innovative business processes and standardization.
The Sustainability Insight Manager will play a key role in this transformation and drive standard approaches to optimize sustainability data acquisition, analysis, and management. As a strong team player, you will interact across the business and engage with data science, engineering, and supplier engagement teams to enhance our data driven systems approach to data insights for sustainability. Project management experience will be an essential requirement. An understanding of data flow processes and an instinctive focus on accuracy, credibility, transparency, and completeness is essential as we increase our maturity in data management and methodology processes.

Responsibilities:
Adheres to global standard reporting requirements e.g. GHG Protocol, GRI reporting standards
Drives program management to deliver sustainability insights across the relevant metrics for the cloud hardware value chain.
Engages with the data science, engineering, and material compliance teams to co-ordinate the integration of sustainability metrics into measurement platforms.
Focused on seeking solutions to overcome data acquisition and validation challenges.
Documents processes for data flows from value chain to systems.
Performs data quality and reporting compliance analysis and evaluation.
Manages corrective and preventative action planning with value chain partners and internal teams.
Evaluates existing processes and recommends improvements.
Supplier training on reporting pilots as required for new initiatives.
Generates operational views, metrics and report and analysis to support supplier sustainability performance reviews.
Participates in supplier performance reviews as requested.
Provides up to date business impact information and participates in internal business reviews for various levels of leadership audience.
Has experience working with a global team and cultural awareness.
Has proven professional approach to dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information.
Ensures compliance with administrative operations policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or equivalent degree qualification in Science, Engineering or Humanities.
5 years + experience in program management and ability to direct multiple programs. PMP, Prince 2 and or Six Sigma certification.
3 year + sustainability focused program experience or working towards sustainability focused outcomes.
Skills and Experience:
Strong analytical skills in the context of sustainability and technology related data.
Strong understanding of data flow and data management tools/systems.
Knowledge of the circular economy models and value chain ecosystems.
Science driven approach, utilizing quality data to provide accuracy and clarity for strategic decision making and performance measurement.
Excellent organizational and execution ability.
Flexible to adapt to change with the needs of the organization and business focus.
Ability to work independently with little supervision and as part of a team.
Competency in cross group collaboration and alignment across Microsoft business groups to build on and share expertise toward shared goals.
Creative and optimistic approach to problem solving.
Effective communication skills with proven ability to write detailed process documentation.
Proficiency with Microsoft productivity software including, but not limited to: Office including Visio, Power BI, Power Apps, Azure Dev Ops, SQL
