Job Description
Green Building Education Services LLC (GBES) seeks a Sustainability Education Specialist to join their e-learning team. The role involves managing partner relations, conducting webinars, teaching LEED and WELL classes, and developing educational content. Candidates should have multiple LEED AP credentials, teaching experience, and strong communication skills. The position is remote, with occasional travel required for in-person classes.

• About Us:
• Green Building Education Services (GBES) is a leader in exam preparation and continuing education for LEED and WELL Building rating systems. Since 2007, we ve helped over 170,000 green building professionals achieve and maintain LEED and WELL credentials with high-quality online study materials and an extensive CE library. Our partners, including the top Fortune 500 AEC firms in the world, Universities and other organizations, rely on our in-person and virtual training solutions annually. Now a part of TÜV SÜD s Real Estate and Infrastructure Division, GBES continues to expand our impact across the Americas.
• Position Overview:
• We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Sustainability Education Specialist to join our e-learning team. If you re experienced in LEED and WELL, enjoy teaching, and have a strong interest in sustainability and green building, we d love to meet you!
• Key Responsibilities:
• Partner Relations
• Maintain strong relationships with educational partners, including USGBC and AIA, through regular check-ins and calls.
• Monitor partner platforms for GBES content feedback and respond as needed.
• Manage CE course approvals, contract renewals, and explore new partnership opportunities.
• Live Webinars
• Collaborate with Marketing to plan and promote an annual webinar schedule.
• Develop learning objectives, create content, and adapt sessions into CE or micro-courses.
• Provide webinar insights, including registration data and survey results, to the Sales team.
• Teaching & Training
• Conduct virtual and in-person LEED, WELL and other classes (occasional travel required).
• Coordinate and manage bench of additional instructors as needed to support training efforts.
• Content Quality Control
• Respond to customer feedback for online content and address any concerns.
• Review and improve existing materials for accuracy and quality.
• Product Development
• Lead development of new LEED v5 exam prep materials.
• Create, update, and enhance all content, keeping it relevant and compliant with the latest standards.
• Content Creation
• Write content for course transcripts, blogs, social media, and email marketing.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on content for outreach efforts.
Qualifications
• Required: Multiple LEED AP credentials (preferred), WELL AP credential (a plus), and strong knowledge of LEED v5.
• Experience: Prior teaching or instructor experience; excellent writing and communication skills.
• Skills: Self-motivated, deadline-driven, able to work remotely and collaborate effectively and respectfully.
• Additional Preferred Experience:
• Background in green building or sustainability-related industries.
• Skills in content creation, such as writing blogs, producing videos, and creating presentations.
• Project management experience.
