JLL is seeking a Sustainability Director in Sydney, Australia, to lead a team in delivering sustainability services for a high-profile client. Responsibilities include managing environmental reporting, optimizing energy and waste programs, and collaborating with Facility Managers to enhance sustainability efforts. The role requires at least seven years of experience in sustainability management, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a matrixed corporate environment.

About Us:
Our Work Dynamics business line works with some of the world's leading organisations to provide onsite solutions.
In this role, you will work directly with one of our high-profile clients, acting as an embedded extension of their in-house sustainability team. As a member of the JLL Sustainable Operations team with a deep knowledge of the needs of our client’s program, you will ensure our sustainability services are effectively and efficiently delivered.
The Role:
• Managing a dedicated team to deliver the sustainability scope and schedule for client, with particular focus on environmental reporting and a commercial building optimization program
• Managing environmental team with 2-3 reports
• Environmental reporting that includes a client regulatory reporting
• Own, and improve upon, a multi-faceted sustainability program, including energy, waste and water optimization programs and site audits/inspections
• Identifying opportunities for environmental improvement, prepare business cases and work with the Project and Facility Management teams to deliver client approved projects.
• Actively engaging with Facility Managers to identify and manage environmental risks, minimise consumption, and reduce costs.
• Lead, the implementation and continuous improvement of all sustainability activities across the JLL managed client real estate portfolio, including development of relevant tactical plans and activities
• Meet client sustainability objectives and relevant key performance indicators and ensure processes for monitoring and measuring performance are transparent and reported
• Provide strategic direction and guidance on ways to effectively and efficiently implement sustainability services that meet client expectations
• Effectively network cross-functionally to collaborate with other JLL workstreams on the account (e.g. technology, finance, projects, facilities, and procurement) to elevate the sustainability mission and objectives, and drive implementation where most organic within the business
• Demonstrate innovative thinking and proactive management in bringing new ideas and solutions to the services delivery, and ensure they are rolled out effectively
• Develop and enhance systems and processes for delivering best practice sustainability performance and use of utility/sustainability management systems for monitoring and/or reporting purposes
What You Will Bring
• At least seven years of experience as an energy or sustainability manager/engineer, demonstrating the execution and delivery of sustainability services
• Able to excel in a highly matrixed corporate environment and manage various stakeholders into a cohesive team is essential
• Produce clear and concise scope of work documentation to support contracting
• Exceptional communication and analytical skills, maintaining relationships within various business levels and lines
• An engaging leader and a willing team player who seeks to collaborate
