Job Summary

We seek an experienced Sustainability/ Energy Management specialist to provide support in developing annual sustainability reports, managing the CFM Sustainability Awards Program, and offering technical expertise.

About the Role:
• Develop and maintain comprehensive sustainability reports, including:
• Annual Sustainability Reports
• Sustainable Building Strategies
• Construction Waste Data
• Green Building Certifications
• Energy Efficiency Reports
• Oversee the CFM Sustainability Awards Program, promoting excellence in sustainability practices
• Support the VA Sustainable Buildings Working Group, facilitating collaboration and coordination
• Provide expert analysis and recommendations on sustainable building technologies and energy efficiency measures
• Collaborate with project teams across all stages of planning, design, and construction
• Ensure compliance with project requirements and deadlines
• Coordinate responses to office inquiries and tasks
• Track and manage office tasks, ensuring timely completion
• Coordinate responses to external tasks and requests
• Develop and submit award nominations for outstanding sustainability achievements
• Manage and track project design reviews, coordinating staff participation
• Contribute to the development and implementation of VA's energy and greenhouse gas reduction strategies
• Provide energy modeling analysis and support
• Offer subject matter expertise to advance VA's energy reduction goals

Requirements:
• Hold a relevant bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Possess at least 7 years of experience in related fields, preferably in construction or real property projects
• Hold recognized certifications in sustainable building and energy efficiency, such as LEED AP, Green Globes Professional, or CEM
• Demonstrate independence and self-motivation with minimal supervision
• Meet U.S citizenship requirements, possess a valid driver's license, and secure a favorable background security investigation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
• Able to travel up to 50% within the US
