Job Description

Bright Horizons Family Solutions is hiring a Sustainability Coordinator for a 3-month full-time role in Northampton, UK, with hybrid work options requiring 1-3 days in the office. The coordinator will assist in implementing sustainability initiatives, manage data, create content, and support projects. Candidates should have strong organizational skills, communication abilities, and a degree in a related field. The salary is £24k per annum.

Salary: £24k per annum

Contract: 3 months / Full Time / 37.50 hours per week

Location and Type: HO Northampton / Hybrid with expectation to be in the office 1-3 days per week.

Start Date: Asap for right candidate

Job Summary: The Sustainability Coordinator will support the Energy and Sustainability Manager in implementing and managing sustainability initiatives throughout Bright Horizons. This role involves data management, content creation, project support, and general administrative tasks to ensure the successful execution of sustainability action plans.

Responsibilities:

General Administration:
• Track and manage the Energy and Future Earth mailboxes, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups.
• Perform general administrative tasks to support the Energy and Sustainability Manager.
• Provide support in organising meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining records.
• Assist in writing up minutes and creating agendas for the Future Earth Panel and Global ESG Taskforce meetings.

Content Design:
• Assist in designing content for sustainability engagement communications to be sent to nurseries and support offices.
• Review and assist in the design of new Future Earth webpages.
• Create content for "Bright Now" and "This Week" communications.

Data Management:
• Collate asset information to build and maintain a comprehensive database.
• Review and assess utility data to identify outliers, reporting these to the Energy and Sustainability Manager.
• Collect, review, and input data related to various sustainability metrics.

Project Support:
• Assist in tracking action plans and sustainability initiatives, ensuring progress is monitored and documented.
• Investigate energy management systems and consultancies, setting up calls with the Energy Manager to explore energy audit opportunities.

• Proficiency in data analysis and database management.
• Passion for sustainability and environmental initiatives.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
