Sustainability Analyst

B&M Retail is seeking a full-time Sustainability Analyst in Liverpool, UK, to enhance environmental performance and ensure compliance with governance reporting. Responsibilities include data collection, maintaining compliance registers, and supporting strategy implementation. Candidates should have administrative knowledge, sustainability experience is preferred, and strong organizational skills. The role offers growth opportunities and various employee benefits.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Analyst to join our team, based full time in our Support Centre in Speke. In this role, you will work closely with our Sustainability and Energy Manager to enhance the environmental performance across the business.

As a Sustainability Analyst , you will play a crucial part in helping the business achieve our governance/regulatory compliance reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:
• Ensuring the collection of data from across the business to comply with Government (Defra/EA) deadlines.
• Maintain the Company’s Social compliance factory audit register.
• Stay abreast of changes to legislation within the compliance reporting framework using knowledge gained to target opportunities for improvements and deliver training where required
• Working with Sustainability manager and key stakeholders within the business offering guidance on governance topics.
• Support with strategy implementation and help to drive this forward across different projects that will arise from time to time.

The successful Sustainability Analyst requires:
• Demonstrable administrative knowledge with sustainability experience being a benefit
• Exceptional time management and organisation skills
• Have a passion for excellence, and an ambition to grow and develop a career within the company
• Ideally, you will have experience in gathering data across a dynamic fast moving business, in an environmental/Governance discipline, but this isn’t essential.
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft 365
