Tactica Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced and qualified Sustainability and Resilience Analyst for a Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance (SETA) contract supporting the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Engineer (DCSENG) for facilities engineering & sustainment and environmental planning & compliance on Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Analyze data related to sustainability & resiliency initiatives and provide insight to improve practices and reduce environmental impact, including analysis of sustainable and energy efficient building design and operation
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions to enable USASMDC to become more energy efficient and resilient to impacts from environment.
• Research and propose sustainable design strategies and environmentally friendly building materials
• Assess life-cycle environmental impacts of buildings and evaluate sustainability metrics such as energy consumption and water usage to identify areas for improvement
• Assist with risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities to operations, infrastructure and systems and collaborate with stakeholders to develop effective mitigation strategies
• Ensure DCSENG projects align with U.S. Army sustainability and resiliency goals and regulatory requirements
• Provide technical reviews and comments for environmental studies and reports.
• Develop initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate against its carbon footprint.
• Establish, collaborate, and maintain professional relationships with team members, customers, subcontractors, and partners.
• Assist with planning and participating on in-person and virtual meetings and conference calls. Create, collect, and distribute meeting minutes.
• Research and recommend equipment, technology, strategies, and processes that reduce waste, energy use, carbon emissions, urban heat, storm water runoff, and hazardous chemicals, or which yield other environmental benefits.
• Analyze and measure success and cost effectiveness of programs.
• Other duties, as assigned.
Compensation Minimum: $60,000
Compensation Maximum: $70,000

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related scientific discipline.
• Up to three (3) years of relevant experience supporting internal and external stakeholders supporting sustainability programs, energy programs, resiliency, environmental quality and/or green initiatives.
• Proficient working in a flexible environment and demonstrated ability to effectively organize, prioritize, delegate, and multi-task.
• Possess excellent time management, good judgment, conflict resolution, and exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be highly proficient using MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project, Teams, Outlook).
• Ability and willingness to occasionally travel in support of customer requirements. Travel may be Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS).
• May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance at the appropriate level for the duration of the contract Period of Performance. U.S. citizenship is required to be eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree with a concentration in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related scientific disciple.
• Knowledge of U.S. Army rank and grade structure, government civilian pay scale equivalencies, regulations, and other organizations specific to USASMDC.
• Technical aptitude to understand energy project design & development & report on key performance and environmental metrics.
• Strong interest in energy transition, excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, summarizing, and quantitative reasoning skills, and an analytical mindset with strong communication abilities
• Experience in producing research and high-quality content, including writing research memos or reports and data visualization
• Active security clearance with current investigation, a plus.

Physical Requirements: Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.
