About the Job

We're seeking an experienced Indirect Spend Category Manager to join our team in Bloomington, Indiana. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for leading the indirect spend category at the site, driving greater efficiencies, reducing supply chain risk, and delivering cost savings for the business.

The Position

As a key member of our procurement team, you'll implement and lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs, develop robust Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for strategic indirect suppliers, and establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders. You'll also participate in sourcing initiatives, collaborate with functional leads to develop technical requirements, and perform routine spend analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities.

Responsibilities
• Implement and lead SRM programs to drive supplier engagement and performance
• Develop and maintain BCPs for key strategic indirect suppliers
• Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including the site IFM Team
• Participate in sourcing initiatives and ensure compliance with global procurement policies and procedures
• Collaborate with functional leads to develop technical requirements and specifications for goods and services
• Perform routine spend analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, sciences, purchasing, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred, as is CPSM/CIPM certification. With a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience and 7 years of purchasing experience, you'll bring a proven track record of driving results and leading cross-functional teams. Global operations, finance, and matrix management experience are highly desirable, as is a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and GMPs.
