What will you be doing in this role?

The Environmental Services (EVS) Support Services Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership guidance and directs all work activities of Hospitality Services staff and services, which may include one or more departments. Performs routine quality control inspections and ensures quality standards are met. Ensures that on-going training and performance assessment of employees to maintain and improve employee competencies are being conducted. Creates an atmosphere of open, positive communication throughout the department.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities:
• Responsible for department staffing schedule and re-evaluation of staffing needs on a daily basis. Collaborates with Manager in the hiring process of employees.
• Prepares daily schedules and work assignments. Adjusts staffing daily to maintain high productivity, as well as accommodate absences and changes in client needs.
• Conducts daily documented rounding of the medical center, ancillary, and inpatient units to monitor client Hospitality needs, staff performance and that assigned workflows are completed in a timely manner.
• Responds to all customer, departmental and staff concerns/requests with urgency and takes necessary corrective action including timely follow-up.
• Reviews and responds in a timely manner to all business/customer related messages and/or inquiries received each day.
• Effectively communicates with previous lead or supervisor when beginning shift and ending shift to share pertinent operational information related to the shift.

Minimum Education Required:

High School/GED

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities:

Education: High School Diploma/GED - Required

Experience: Minimum three (3) years Environmental Service (EVS), Hospitality, or Janitorial/custodial experience. One (1) Year Direct Supervisory Experience Preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Computer proficiency is a requirement.

Maximum Salary: 48.61
