Cameco is seeking a Student for an environmental role at their Key Lake uranium mill in Saskatchewan, offering a temporary full-time position from May to August 2025. Responsibilities include environmental inspections, water sampling, data entry, and participation in projects, primarily in the field. About Us

Key Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mill. The uranium milled at Key Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.

The Role

In this role you will:
• Assist with environmental inspections, surface and groundwater water sampling and sample preparation, as well as air quality monitoring
• Data entry and review
• Participate in special projects and other day-to-day activities
• Duties include a blend of field and office work, with the majority of time spent in the field

Required:
• You are currently enrolled in a science-based post-secondary education program
• Possess strong communication and computer skills
• You must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco
• Work a rotational two week in/out schedule and commute to site by aircraft

Recommended:
• Candidates enrolled and pursuing a diploma or degree in an environmental related field is considered an asset.
