Job Description
Cameco is seeking a Student for an environmental role at their Key Lake uranium mill in Saskatchewan, offering a temporary full-time position from May to August 2025. Responsibilities include environmental inspections, water sampling, data entry, and participation in projects, primarily in the field. Applicants must be enrolled in a science-based program and returning to school afterward. Preference is given to residents of Saskatchewan’s North and underrepresented groups. A pre-employment substance test is required.

About Us
Key Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mill. The uranium milled at Key Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.
The Role
In this role you will:
• Assist with environmental inspections, surface and groundwater water sampling and sample preparation, as well as air quality monitoring
• Data entry and review
• Participate in special projects and other day-to-day activities
• Duties include a blend of field and office work, with the majority of time spent in the field
Required:
• You are currently enrolled in a science-based post-secondary education program
• Possess strong communication and computer skills
• You must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco
• Work a rotational two week in/out schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
• Candidates enrolled and pursuing a diploma or degree in an environmental related field is considered an asset.
