About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Structured Finance Analyst to join our Energy Transition team. This role involves structuring, executing, and managing financing solutions for renewable energy, clean technology, and sustainability-focused projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial modeling, risk assessment, and market analysis, with a keen interest in accelerating the global transition to a low-carbon economy. We are particularly excited about candidates with deep experience in Project Finance, Infrastructure Investing, Asset-Backed Lending, and other Private Credit diligence opportunities .
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain detailed financial models for structured finance transactions, including project finance, tax equity, and debt financing.
Credit Risk Analysis: Conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments to evaluate potential financing structures and investment opportunities.
Deal Structuring: Assist in structuring and negotiating debt and equity financing for renewable energy and clean technology projects.
Market Research: Perform market research to identify trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities in the energy transition sector.
Due Diligence: Support the due diligence process, including financial, technical, and legal assessments, with a strong focus on private credit diligence.
Stakeholder Communication: Prepare presentations, investment memoranda, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, investors, lenders, and counterparties to execute transactions efficiently.
Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage ongoing portfolio performance, tracking key financial and operational metrics.
About Candidate:
We need someone with 3–5+ years of experience in private credit or structured finance, with hands-on exposure to diligence across multiple deal types — ideally a mix of project finance, corporate credit, and asset-backed lending .
Experience with renewable energy is a plus, but not required — what matters most is that they can move across deal formats with fluency.
The core of the role is about evaluating and Quality Assuring investment memos for investment committees, and providing clear, structured feedback based on real-world IC expectations. So we need someone who’s not just been adjacent to deals — they’ve worked on them, analyzed them, and ideally communicated up to or with investment committees.
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
Professional Experience: 3–5 years of experience in structured finance, project finance, infrastructure investing, asset-backed lending, or private credit diligence, preferably within the energy sector.
Technical Skills: Strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with renewable energy markets, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and tax equity financing structures is advantageous.
Tools Proficiency: Proficiency in financial analysis tools such as Excel, VBA, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ).
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
