As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Stream Restoration Professional to join our Baltimore, MD office. This role is ideal for someone who views challenges as opportunities and is eager to be part of a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about their work. The Stream Restoration Professional will play a crucial role in supporting the assessment and design of stream restoration projects, ranging from small to large scales. This position involves both field and office work primarily in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. The professional will conduct physical and biological field surveys of streams, evaluate existing conditions, perform functional assessments, develop restoration design solutions, and oversee environmental restoration construction. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in stream restoration design, fluvial geomorphology, sediment transport, stream ecology, and stream assessment, and will be expected to travel within the Mid-Atlantic region as needed.

Responsibilities
• Support environmental restoration design projects including stream, wetland, and shoreline restoration projects.

• Develop construction plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
,
• Develop reports in support of assessment, design, and monitoring efforts.
,
• Perform field work including geomorphic assessment, natural resource inventories, and watershed inventories and assessments.
,
• Communicate and collaborate with the project team.

Requirements
• B.S. or M.S. in relevant engineering field (e.g., Civil, Environmental, Ecological, Biosystems) required.
,
• 3+ professional years of experience.
,
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required.
,
• Critical thinking skills required.
,
• Ability to work both collaboratively/in a team environment and independently required.
,
• Project design experience related to stream, wetland, living shoreline, and/or stormwater management practice required.
,
• Experience performing field work for functional stream assessments, biological restoration monitoring, environmental restoration construction oversight and/or geomorphic assessments required.
,
• Ability to work in physically challenging outdoor settings required.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience working in the Mid-Atlantic region (Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Pennsylvania) preferred.

• Experience with HEC-RAS and other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis software preferred.
,
• Experience developing engineering construction plans in MicroStation preferred.
