GCLR3 Project Overview

We have been appointed as the nominated design and construction contractor for GCLR3, a 6.7km extension to the existing light rail network from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads. The project involves the delivery of eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.

Key Responsibilities

You will oversee the management and delivery of construction phase services within the delivery program. This includes managing systems engineering and safety assurance activities, coordinating with John Holland's TEK team, and ensuring that the Rail Training Organization (RTO) meets its accreditation requirements under the Rail Safety National Law (RSNL).

You will also manage the Engineering and Completions process, ensuring timely achievement of delivery milestones, operational readiness, and on-time delivery of day one revenue service.

Requirements

To be successful in this key role, you must have:
• Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Building, Construction, Engineering or Quantity Surveying
• 5-10 years' experience in technical management roles on significant projects
• 5+ years' design experience
• 5-8 years' construction multi-discipline project experience in design and construction
• Proven commercial and legislative compliance skills and design frameworks and systems
• Demonstrated competencies in Head Contract and Subcontract understanding and interpretation
• Strong stakeholder management and relationships with major design partners
• Awareness of risk management principles and how design can impact operational risk
• Proficient skills in relevant computer software packages
• Strong time and cost management skills
