Duties & Responsibilities
• Develop and Execute Procurement Strategy aligned with Tsebo’s business goals, driving cost efficiency, sustainability, and long-term value creation.
• Lead Global Sourcing and Contracting for direct and indirect materials across multiple geographies, ensuring quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Streamline Procurement Operations by implementing best practices and leveraging ERP systems (Sage X3, Microsoft D365).
• Oversee Logistics and Distribution, ensuring timely delivery, customs clearance, and optimized warehousing.
• Manage Inventory Strategically, balancing supply and demand, and ensuring traceability and quality control.
• Build and Maintain Supplier Relationships, monitor performance, and resolve quality or delivery issues.
• Drive Cost Management, identify savings opportunities, and manage procurement budgets.
• Mitigate Supply Chain Risks and ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and sustainability standards.
• Lead and Develop Teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
• Leverage Technology and Data to track KPIs, forecast demand, and support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure Client Satisfaction through timely deliveries, product availability, and responsive service.
• Promote Sustainability and Compliance across sourcing, packaging, and logistics.
• Report and Analyze Performance, delivering insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Skills and Competencies
• Excellent negotiation, influencing, and facilitation skills
• Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities
• Deep understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Sage X3, Microsoft D365) and data analytics tools
• Expertise in Procure-to-Pay processes and supply chain best practices
• Knowledge of international trade, customs, and African market regulations
• Strategic thinking with a high degree of market insight
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development abilities
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity
• Innovative mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Willingness and ability to travel across regions as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
• 10–15 years in procurement and supply chain
• 8+ years in leadership or management roles
• Proven experience in managing teams and leading large-scale supply chain projects
• Hands-on experience across procurement, logistics, inventory management, demand forecasting, and supplier relationship management
• Experience managing global supply chains, including international trade, regulations, and customs
• Familiarity with challenges and trends in remote facilities management is advantageous
• Fluency in English is required; French is a plus
