Job Description

The Climate Action Campaign US is seeking a Strategic Partnerships Program Manager in Washington, DC. This role involves organizing community leaders, managing relationships with partner organizations, and coordinating projects across various departments. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of political and organizing experience, strong interpersonal skills, and be highly organized. The position focuses on building partnerships to address the global climate crisis.
Duties

The Climate Action Campaign is looking for a Program Manager for our Strategic Partnerships team who will help us establish new and maintain existing relationships with organizations and individuals that we partner with to demand action on the global climate crisis. The Program Manager is responsible for establishing new and stewarding existing relationships with organizations and individuals representing diverse constituencies. The Program Manager will be responsible for duties including, but not limited to:

ORGANIZING
• Building a cadre of hundreds of community leaders, including elected officials, health professionals, and others, who care about climate.
• Mobilizing hundreds of community leaders to participate in CAC’s campaign tactics.
• Developing strategies and organizing opportunities to engage community leaders around key priority issues.

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
• Establishing new and managing existing relationships with partner organizations representing diverse constituencies.
• Serving as CAC’s point of contact for respective constituencies and organizations, keeping management, internal departments, and direct supervisors apprised of the latest intel from partner organizations and constituencies.
• Maintaining relationships with partner organizations by facilitating weekly check-in calls or meetings to ensure grant deliverables are met, including weekly database reporting.
• Managing relationships with applicable fellows as necessary.
• Working well within and deftly navigating dense coalition dynamics.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
• Interdepartmental coordination with the digital, communications, research, coalitions, planning & development departments ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of relevant products and activities.
• Facilitating material delivery and development from CAC to partner organizations.
• Providing additional programmatic and administrative support to projects such as managing and executing internal team projects, guiding CAC fellowship activities, participating in working groups, rapid response moments, and assisting the Strategic Partnerships Senior Director with other projects as needed.

Qualifications
• 3-5 years in political, organizing, and media experience
• Creative approach to planning and problem solving
• Highly organized and self-motivated
• Strong time management and priority-setting skills
• Previous experience of working successfully with state and national organizations
• Ability to maintain discretion
• Highly collaborative with experience working across multiple departments and teams
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, sense of humor and positive attitude
• Knowledge of database software preferred but not essential
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments

Physical Requirements

Predominantly operates in an office environment. Must be able to remain stationary a majority of the time. Must be able to use standard office equipment including computers and keyboards. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

The Fine Print

This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC. and works in a hybrid setup.

The target salary for this position is $65,000, depending on experience. Full Time Benefits Include:
