Job Description

Seapoint Solar is seeking a State Incentive Specialist to manage state-specific solar project incentives in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. Responsibilities include submitting forms, communicating with customers, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role requires strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Candidates should have experience in the solar industry and familiarity with state incentive programs. This position is based in Runnemede, NJ and is not remote.
Overview
The State Incentive Specialist will be responsible for managing all state-specific incentives for solar projects, ensuring the timely and accurate submission of required forms, and facilitating communication with customers throughout the process. This role will require the specialist to work closely with customers to guide them through the necessary paperwork and regulatory steps, conduct company welcome calls, and provide bi-weekly project updates. The State Incentive Specialist will be the point of contact for homeowners regarding any state-specific requirements, documents, or inquiries.
Key Responsibilities*

1. State Incentive Management: o Complete, file, and track all necessary forms for solar incentives in the states of Pennsylvania (PA), New Jersey (NJ), and Delaware (DE).

o Stay up-to-date on the latest state-specific solar incentive programs and regulations in PA, NJ, and DE (Others as the company expands)

o Submit all required documents to the relevant state agencies in a timely manner to ensure eligibility for available incentives.

o Verify and confirm the accuracy of incentive applications, ensuring compliance with state guidelines.

2. Customer Communication: o Conduct a company welcome call with each customer, following a pre-established script to provide important project and incentive information.

o Address customer questions, concerns, and requests related to state incentives and documentation.

o Coordinate the sending and receiving of required forms for customer signatures, ensuring proper documentation is completed and submitted.

3. Documentation & Filing:

o Manage the preparation and submission of all required homeowner documents (e.g., interconnection agreements, state rebate applications, etc.).

o Maintain accurate records of all customer documents and ensure timely follow-ups to ensure all forms are signed and submitted.

4. Customer Update Calls:

o Assist with bi-weekly customer update calls to inform homeowners of the progress of their solar project, answer any questions, and discuss next steps.

o Update customers on the status of state incentive applications and any potential delays.

5. Collaboration & Support: o Work closely with the sales, installation, and project management teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

o Provide support for any additional paperwork or incentive-related questions that may arise during the course of the project.

6. Additional Duties: o Maintain clear and organized records of all interactions with customers and completed forms. o Provide regular reports on the status of incentive applications and any potential issues that may arise.

o Assist in identifying and resolving any roadblocks related to the submission of state incentive forms.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• Experience in the solar industry, with a specific focus on state incentive programs (preferred).
• Familiarity with solar incentive programs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple forms and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to explain complex state incentive information clearly to customers.
• Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Comfortable using customer relationship management (CRM) software, spreadsheets, and other office tools.
• *Preferred Qualifications:**
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, especially within the solar or energy industry.
• Knowledge of state-specific rebate programs, tax incentives, and other related paperwork.
• Experience with customer service and project management in a fast-paced environment. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.63 - $24.04 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
