Staff or Project Geologist/Hydrogeologist/Environmental Scientist - Kellogg, Idaho

Maul Foster & Alongi, Inc. (MFA) is seeking a Staff or Project Geologist/Hydrogeologist/Environmental Scientist to join our team in Kellogg, Idaho. This position offers an opportunity to take the lead on high-profile environmental remediation efforts, including the transformative cleanup of the historic Bunker Hill Superfund Site.

As a Staff Geologist/Hydrogeologist/Environmental Scientist, you will...

manage MFA's comprehensive water monitoring program for the Trust, focusing on evaluating surface water quality across three watersheds and four repositories in the upper and lower basins. While collaborating closely with a team of experienced professionals, you will quickly grow into a project leadership role, guiding the planning and execution of water-focused field investigations such as groundwater sampling and monitoring, as well as drilling, logging boreholes, and collecting multimedia samples. You will contribute to managing project scopes, budgets, and schedules, ensuring the work stays on track and aligns with regulatory and client goals. In addition, you will prepare detailed maps, cross sections, and technical reports that shape the remediation strategies.

To thrive in this role, you must have...
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant professional experience.
• GIT/EIT certification preferred.
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER training (preferred or obtainable upon hire).
• Proficiency in environmental sampling, data interpretation, and technical writing.
• A collaborative mindset and a drive to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Compensation for hire: $73,000 to $87,000
