Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst at Medica in Hopkins, MN will support Market Leaders by evaluating markets/products and helping to execute strategic growth plans. Responsibilities include financial analysis, presenting performance to leadership, and collaborating with internal and external partners. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, 8+ years of experience, preferably in healthcare. The role requires office presence in Minnetonka at least 3 times a week.
The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Senior Director of Markets Finance and provide finance support to Medica Market Leaders. Medica’s Market Leaders develop and execute strategic growth plans for defined geographic regions across all product offerings.
The Senior Financial Analyst will be an integral partner with multiple Market Leaders within the company, and as such, will actively help them to evaluate existing markets/products, assist with defining, initiating, and tracking ad hoc short-term tactical actions that may be needed, and will partner continuously with the Market Leaders to establish long-term strategic plans and initiatives.
In this role you will be asked to routinely interface with various internal cross-functional partners and external strategic partners. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for presenting financial performance to the leadership teams as well as to help formulate realistic go-forward strategies (could include traditional at-risk products and/or value-based products). The Senior Financial Analyst will often need to take lead on the collection and compilation of data within the company, partnering with key stakeholders to execute on strategic initiatives to improve financial performance.
Key Accountabilities:
• Partners with market leaders on the successful execution of Medica’s growth objectives for products being offered or proposed for given markets by providing financial analysis of potential growth opportunities based on modeling/data analysis.
• Serves as the primary financial partner for key strategic partners. Conducts in-depth financial analysis of relationships with key customers and providers to measure impact and progress toward achieving market revenue and membership goals and contributes this analysis to decision-making processes within the business.
• Interacts regularly with market leaders to set market share goals and create strategies for achievement. Also provides general finance support to Markets division, inclusive of pipeline management support.
• Monitors the overall business environment across relevant markets and shares insights with market leaders.
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop plans around financial improvement initiatives pertaining to value based care arrangements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related required
• 8+ years' work experience required
• Healthcare experience preferred
• Experience working with capitated and value-based care models preferred
Skills and Abilities:
• Proven experience collecting and analyzing financial data
• Experience in budgeting and financial forecasting processes within an organization
• Experience building complex, financial models to evaluate markets/opportunities
• Experience leading cross function projects/initiatives to improve business performance
• Experience providing financial support/analysis for sales and/or clinical teams/departments within an organization
This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work from the designated office, Minnetonka, on average, 3+ times per week.
The full salary range for this position is $98,400 - $168,600. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
