Specialized Engineer - Sustainability (HQ)

Transguard Group is hiring a Specialized Engineer - Sustainability for their Dubai HQ. The role involves leading sustainability programs, conducting energy audits, and collaborating with various business units on environmental initiatives. Responsibilities include implementing energy management strategies, ensuring compliance with sustainability standards, and supporting CSR projects. The position requires a proactive approach to reduce carbon emissions and improve utility efficiency.

We are currently recruiting for a Specialized Engineer-Sustainability to join our Integrated Facilities Services team in our Headquarters, located in DAFZA, Dubai Airport Freezone.

Scope: The Specialized Engineer leads organization’s sustainability programs. Sustainability Engineer needs to ensure that all the process, equipment, products, and services are environmentally friendly and in line with international sustainability standards. Sustainability Engineer will also be acting as an Energy champion for business process change and support Manager Energy & Sustainability to deliver all Energy, Water & Waste related projects.

Financial
• Support the Senior manager to implement environmental projects (e.g. recycling programs, energy reduction initiatives and other similar programs)
• Provide detailed Cost benefit analysis and business cases for improvements to client and group for approval
• Must be Able to Perform Energy Audits as per ASHRAE Standards
• Must be able to Measure and Verify Energy, Carbon Emissions & Water consumption data
• To raise procurement query form and get related quotes for products and projects for review
• Monitor utility consumption against baseline and report any variation for corrective actions
• Measure and report carbon footprint to finance and group

Customer
• Collaborate with other business units to gather data and provide efficient solution on sustainability
• Work closely with stakeholders to plan, develop, approve, and execute local projects and enterprise-wide campaigns on Environmental sustainability
• Communicate and lead the environmental sustainability programs for client and group
• implement and be actively involved in programs that address environmental issues affecting operations and processes
• Support and provide data for the publication of Annual Corporate Social Responsibility report

Process
• Support to implement energy management strategy and supporting policy for efficient use of utilities, utilities include but are not limited to water, sewage, electricity & waste
• Support Senior Manager on Energy & Water Savings projects from help on developing the business Case and implementing on site
• Ensure the compliance of LEED, Green Building Guidelines
• Implement on strategy to reduce Carbon Emissions and Aim to have NET ZERO Emissions Goal
• Monitor the social impact of CSR programs and oversee ongoing CSR projects

• Engage with industry professionals to keep up to date with new trends and technology
• To think creatively and challenge traditional methods of reporting
