The Material Controller works on the Material Control team under Planning and Material Center, which is responsible for planning and controlling materials used in the Cell Business Unit (BU) located in Indiana, U.S.A. In this specialized, unique role, the selected professional will make extensive use of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning in both analyzing and devising data-oriented solutions designed to help optimize the PMC organization in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and quality.

Position Title: Material Control Specialist I – Planning and Material Control

Department: Supply Chain

Entity: U.S. Cell Manufacturing (USCM)

Reports To: Senior Supervisor, Planning and Material Control

Location: Jeffersonville, Indiana

Position Summary:

The Material Control Specialist I works on the Material Control team under Planning and Material Center, which is responsible for planning and controlling materials used in the Cell Business Unit (BU) located in Indiana, U.S.A.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Helps to manage and oversee Material Center while working closely with Planning, Data Analysis and Warehouse teams
• Supports the management and monitoring of material levels
• Creates Bill of Materials (BOM) for cell production
• Work closely with the Warehouse to ensure Production Orders are fulfilled
• Confirms material deliveries to production lines
• Issues purchase orders to the Purchasing team
• Leverages and manages SAP systems for effective control and daily operations.
• Supports ISO 9001 activities
• Participate in weekly planning and purchasing conference calls

Qualifications and Experience:
• A master’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or related fields is preferred, a bachelor’s degree is required
• Over 1 year of working experience in supply chain, warehousing or material planning within a multinational corporation manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated success in delivering strong quantitative results
• Familiar with performing in a fast-moving environment
• Basic knowledge of ERP platforms or SAP is a must
• Exceptional communication skills
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is required; bilingual proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable
