Job Purpose

Customer Energy Integration is looking for a highly organized, self-motivated professional who will own and maintain schedules for complex distributed generation applicants throughout the company’s E2E interconnection process. Analyst will also be responsible for the accurate and timely creation of invoices for customer Contribution in Aid of Construction (CIAC) payments. This includes collaborating with the CEI Coordinators to determine applicable CIAC charges and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The Invoice Specialist will also handle general invoicing tasks and support the overall billing operations. Successful candidates will have strong scheduling and project management skills, enabling customer sponsored DG projects to be interconnected cost effectively, within state regulated timelines, while achieving high customer satisfaction. The professional will support the Account Managers and act as the SME for scheduling and milestones.

As a DG scheduling subject matter expert, the candidate will also be expected to provide outreach and educate others on DG schedules.
Key Accountabilities
• Manage and maintain the accuracy of Primavera (P6) schedule data and Milestones to assist with the timely delivery and completion of projects.
• Create and process invoices for CIAC payments in SAP, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Collaborate with the CEI DG Project Coordinators to assess and calculate CIAC charges for utility installations.
• Build and communicate schedules, maintain milestones, and perform DG process related tasks and necessary documentation.
• Coordinate with DG Project Coordinators and other internal stakeholders where data discrepancies are identified.
• Create, and maintain, milestone and progress reports in support of the Performance Incentive Mechanism (PIM) that aligns with the data requirements of the MA Complex team.
• Challenge existing policies and procedures to continuously seek ways to enhance customer service and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide technical guidance, support and coaching to others, (both internally and externally) in order to share knowledge and increase understanding of Distributed Generation schedules and milestones.
• Analyze and evaluate developments in Distributed Generation and Renewable Energy technologies in order to identify impact of different scenarios on the business and strategies for integrating cost efficiencies.
• Manage financial aspects of project requirements.
• Represent National Grid as needed in various industry associations
Knowledge & Experience Required
• Familiarity with scheduling tools and interconnection processes.
• Experience with renewable energies and utility industry a major plus.
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Knowledge or willing to understand various regulatory policies and interconnection related standards.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office software products.
• Experience with utility electric construction a plus.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to represent the company in meetings and seminars, present material as needed.
• Experience with STORMs, Salesforce, SAP, and/or Primavera (P6) a plus.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree required and desired in a project management, business management or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum 2+ years of work experience.
