Solid Waste Equipment Operator I

The City of Little Rock is hiring a Solid Waste Equipment Operator I to operate refuse collection vehicles safely and efficiently on assigned routes. Candidates should have a valid Arkansas Class B Driver's License and one year of experience with heavy-duty vehicles. The position is full-time, with a salary range of $16.45 to $23.12 per hour. JOB OBJECTIVE: Operates standard refuse collection vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to ensure the collection of solid waste materials on an assigned route.

These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of grade school, one (1) year of experience in the operation of a heavy-duty transport vehicle. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
• Must possess a valid Arkansas Class B (Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for duration of employment in this position.
