Solar Technician

Utility Scale Solar Technician
Kiowa County, OK

Reporting to the same utility site daily.
BESS (battery storage) experience is preferred but not required
Experience with troubleshooting, onsite diagnosis, assessing issues and completing repairs, substation, commissioning, locating ground faults, inverter work, etc.
Pay is dependent on candidates experience.

Responsibilities

Site lead supervisor
Manage technicians
Scheduling/Documentation
Support Commissioning, Inverter work
Preventative and Corrective Maintenance
Energy Storage Cabinets (ESCs)
Power Conversion Stations (PCS)
Ring Main Units (RMUs) / Switchgear
Transformers
SCADA and networking devices
Provide onsite diagnostic, troubleshooting and hands on support to maintain equipment and achieve availability and capacity guarantees
Complete work order documentation in a timely matter
Ensure inventory of spare parts is accurate
Perform proper LOTO and switching procedures as required
Adhere to all health and safety rules and policies

Qualifications and Experience:

OSHA 30 Certified OR OSHA 10 would be a plus
Previous training and knowledge of inverters
SCADA experience will be beneficial
Knowledge of general and national codes, medium voltage power systems and Energy Storage system applications is an asset
Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office Applications (Word, Excel)
Previous experience with a CMMS software program preferred
Must possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
First Aid Trained
Ability to function successfully both independently and within a team
Demonstrated professional appearance and conduct
