Hawai'i Unified is seeking a Solar Specialist - Project Coordinator in Waianae, HI. The role involves assisting Project Managers in managing residential solar projects, coordinating work schedules, regulatory approvals, and customer onboarding. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential. The position requires proficiency in project management software and some solar industry experience is preferred. This is an in-office position, not remote.

If you want to join a rapidly growing, award-winning company with plenty of opportunities for upward mobility, we invite you to apply to Hawaii Unified's Solar Specialist/Residential PV Project Coordinator position.Responsibilities of the Residential Sales Specialist / Project Coordinator:The Project Coordinator assists Project Managers (PMs) and the Residential Solar division in the oversight and management of all contracted PV projects. Job tasks include: supporting Operation and Sales Teams in the scheduling of work and coordinating of services; assist in the progress reporting and document procurement; coordinating regulatory approvals (e.g., Utility Interconnection, Department of Planning & Permitting, etc.) when necessary; assisting in the solar cycle from Sale to Installation and Permission to Operate; providing administrative support for project management related to the onboarding of customers; and utilize our unique software systems and processes to update workflow and associated staff.During the project period, the Project Coordinator reports to the specific direction of the Residential Operations Management Team, relative to other assigned responsibilities. The RSP/Support Specialist position also works primarily with homeowners to provide updates, gather information, answer questions, and be a first line resource for disseminating information to the operations team about the customer experience.Great customer service skills, an ability to communicate effectively and professionally, and a constantly positive attitude are a must for this position.Solar Specialist / Residential Projects Coordinator Responsibilities:Workflow Management: Assist in managing the workflow for the Residential Solar division, ensuring smooth progress of customers' projects from Sale to Installation to Permission to Operate.Software Utilization: Utilize the company's workflow and project management software, including "Click-Up" and "Pipedrive," to manage and update the progress of customer projects.Customer Onboarding: Onboard new residential solar customers by creating customer records in the company's CRM and project management software.Document Management: Collect the required forms and documents from customers and upload them to the software systems.Regulatory Approvals: Complete and submit the necessary forms for Utility Interconnection, Homeowner Association, and Department of Planning & Permitting approvals.Progress Reporting: Update the Operations Team and Sales Teams on the progress of customer projects within the workflow management software systems.Click-Up Queue Management: Take responsibility for managing designated Click-Up queues.Additional, Preferred Qualifications:General construction knowledgeFamiliarity with the Residential Solar sales process2 years of solar-related experience (PV), preferredIntermediate to advanced technological skills, preferredAble to learn quickly and adapt to new software and technical solutionsComfortable with technology with moderate to advanced computer skillsExperience working with various project teamsAbility to work well with others in a collaborative team environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills requiredPunctuality, reliability, and having predictable attendance is requiredExcellent customer service skills requiredMust be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background checkStrong working knowledge of MS Office softwareHawaii Unified Benefits:Health, Dental and Vision InsuranceRetirement – Optional 401kPaid Time OffDiscretionary bonuses and incentives for exceptional workEmployee Profit Sharing (Plan-1 Share)*Company Laptop (if required) and Mobile Device provided Pay listed may vary and is based on experience and applicant qualifications. ** Eligibility for Employee Profit Sharing begins the following quarter after 90 days of continuous employment.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $55,000.00 per yearExperience level:1 yearSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Waianae, HI 96792: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Experience:Residential Solar: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: In person
