What You’ll Do?

As a Solar Site Surveyor, you'll be the crucial link between our sales team and our design department. You'll travel to potential customers' homes, conduct thorough site audits, and gather all the necessary technical data to create permit-ready solar system designs. This position offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technology, interact directly with customers, and play a key role in bringing solar energy to more homes across Canada

Please note this role is not in sales.

This is a position where you will visit our client’s homes to conduct surveys and audits. There will be cases where you are outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities
• Travel to project sites and conduct comprehensive physical site audits using various tools, including tablets, measuring devices, and drones
• Develop positive relationships with customers while gathering essential facilities assessment data
• Assess shading from trees, buildings, and other obstructions that may impact solar system performance
• Upload site audit documents and coordinate with the design/engineering department to produce permit-ready documents by midnight on the day of the site audit
• Gather detailed structural and electrical data on multiple types of buildings
• Identify potential issues that may interfere with installations or system production
• Develop relationships with the sales team, design professionals, and subcontractors to support business activities
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures for Site Audits to ensure smooth handoffs between departments
• Operate company vehicles safely and maintain a clean driving record

Qualifications & Additional Details
• Minimum of 1 year's experience in a construction-related discipline; solar installation experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
• Ability to understand, read, and comprehend contract documents and plans
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Physical ability to work on roofs and in attics, and lift 50+ pounds occasionally
• Proficiency in operating a drone
• Flexibility to work different schedules, including Mondays to Saturdays
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to adapt and work in an open, fast-paced, collaborative start-up environment
