Position Summary:

The Sales Manager will be responsible for building, training, and leading a high-performing sales team, including both appointment setters and closers. You will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by developing the team structure, implementing effective sales processes, and setting performance standards. Your expertise in field sales, especially door-to-door, and team development will help shape the future of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Recruit, train, and manage a team of solar closers and appointment setters (including door-knocking reps)
• Develop performance standards, sales goals, and training systems to ensure team success
• Implement and manage lead generation strategies, including door-to-door canvassing and setter-to-closer handoff processes
• Coach closers on deal strategy, pipeline management, and objection handling
• Monitor KPIs, track team performance, and report sales metrics to leadership
• Conduct regular team meetings, ride-alongs, and field shadowing to support rep development
• Create and maintain a culture of accountability, motivation, and high performance
• Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to optimize lead flow and customer experience
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in solar sales, with at least 1-2 years managing a team
• Proven success in managing door-to-door teams and/or inside setter teams
• Strong leadership, motivational, and coaching skills
• Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities
• Experience creating training content and onboarding programs is a plus
• Tech-savvy — comfortable using CRM systems (Zoho) and digital sales tools
• Passion for renewable energy and sustainability

Job Type:Full-time

Pay And Benefits

Pay Range: a base of $60,000 - 75,000 with total compensation expected of $155,000 - $182,000/yr.

A full benefits package is included: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K with employer match, PTO and Paid Holidays.
