ECO SOLAR and ELECTRIC is seeking a Residential Solar Sales Associate for an in-person role in Klamath Falls, OR. The position requires a self-motivated individual passionate about sustainable living and ethical sales practices. Responsibilities include managing sales leads, marketing, assisting with installations, and participating in community events. Employees must maintain knowledge of solar energy and sustainability, and present a professional image to the public.
Residential Solar Sales Associate Position DescriptionThis is an In-Person Job position located in Klamath Falls, Oregon. This position is best suited to a self-motivated/self-directed individual that carries a passion for making a change in the world and that is the basis for creating sales, not the ability to "talk a customer into" or use unethical pressure to create a sale. -Sales leads will need to be managed and come in mostly through internet but also phone and personal inquiries. -Respect for potential customers is top priority as our company is part of this community. -Marketing will be part of this position and includes responsible social media. -Job installation assistance to the crew is recommended periodically to give a better quality of understanding to how equipment works. -We are a team based small business and this position will work closely with the design, customer care and administrative members. -Commission is based on amount of sales input that is required from supervisor. -Training time is typically six months at entry level commission and stepped up as less assistance is needed. Additional special bonuses occur on occasion. Responsibilities include but not limited to: a) - - - - - -Eco Solar and Electric employees will present to the public as well-groomed, polite, honest, and sincere. -It is part of the vision of our company that employees will be enthusiastic about selling solar and about promoting sustainable living to the community.b) - - - - -Be on-time, dependable and work full scheduled shifts, unless absence is pre-approved. -This position may have flexibility on shift hours worked and when shift is.c) - - - - - -Maintain up-to-date knowledge of renewable energy (general), sustainability tips, and current events & legislation related to sustainability. -d) - - - - -Maintain up-to-date knowledge of solar energy, solar system basics, solar research & development. -Review with owner(s), as needed, to assure accuracy.e) - - - - -Participate in "knowledge sharing" regarding solar, other renewable energy, and sustainability with the team. -It is essential that Eco Solar and Electric is consistent and accurate in the information its employees provide to the public. -f) - - - - - - -Assist with Web site, brochure, business cards, signs, advertising, and job site photos (or oversees 3rd party completion of these duties, if appropriate).g) - - - - - -Create new marketing materials approved by supervisor.h) - - - - -Distribute marketing materials via mail, e-mail, web site, or personal delivery to potential clients.i) - - - - - - -Approach community business owners and residents with information regarding solar and specifically how they can benefit from solar system and solar incentives available. - -j) - - - - - - -Participate in trade shows, open house events, and other community events, as requested.k) - - - - - -Possible Additional Duties: -Complete applications (i.e. Energy Trust of Oregon, Dept of Energy), Grant writing,l) Perform in person solar site assessments. - - - - - -m) - - -Use of personal phone for inter company communications is expected. -A company mobile phone will be provided for communications with customers.n) - - - - -A company vehicle will be provided, along with necessary tools and equipment for conducting site assessments.o) - - - - -A desk and computer will be provided to use at our office. -Other resources can be provided as needed. Qualifications 2 years previous sales experience or four year bachelor degree. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required valid driver's license.
