The Solar Project Manager II at Mesa Energy Systems is responsible for overseeing the efficient management of renewable energy projects, particularly in the solar sector. This role involves engaging with project developers, managing project deliverables, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, and maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills to effectively manage project budgets, timelines, and expectations from initiation through to completion.
Responsibilities
• Evaluate and ensure the efficient management of Renewables projects consistent with contractual requirements.

• Engage with project developers on proposals, pre-award site walks, and hand-offs.
,
• Attend project meetings to ensure forward progress, identify risk potential, and maintain awareness of project developments.
,
• Create and maintain positive relationships with clients and other departments, supervisors, and stakeholders.
,
• Ensure clear and timely communications with internal and external stakeholders.
,
• Manage project deliverables and ensure they are submitted complete, accurate, and in a timely manner.
,
• Support contract review, including general project information, scope, schedule, insurance and compliance requirements, award amount and total anticipated cost.

• Prepare quarterly financial forecasts and monthly updates.
,
• Ensure that the contract is managed in a manner that meets all contractual requirements and financial goals.
,
• Responsible for timely and accurate project billing and support to Accounts Payable related to past-due payments.
,
• Manage cost control on each project, ensuring knowledge of current financial status by effectively managing budgets and costs.
,
• Coordinate procurement of all materials including strategic long lead items to maintain and/or improve project budget and schedule.
,
• Manage client expectations from hand-off through contract execution and project completion.
,
• Resolve disputes with clients, contractors, vendors, suppliers, or subcontractors.
,
• Ensure proper close-out procedures have been followed and documented, including quality control and contractual project completion requirements.
,
• Oversee design, engineering, permitting, and interconnection progress based on project needs.
,
• Submit accurate and timely design deliverables to client and AHJ.
,
• Submit accurate and timely utility applications.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
,
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in construction management, particularly in solar and/or electrical projects.
,
• Project Management experience in government, DSA, Industrial, and/or military construction assignments preferred.
,
• Knowledge of alternative contracts and delivery methods is a plus.
,
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
,
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office Suite products is required.
,
• Experience with Bluebeam, Adobe Pro, and/or AutoCAD is a plus.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in government, DSA, Industrial, and/or military construction assignments.

• Knowledge of alternative contracts and delivery methods.
Benefits
• Competitive salary range of $125,000 - $134,000 per year.
