Job Description
The Solar Project Manager position at IEA Management Services in South Portland, ME, involves managing solar projects from initiation to completion with up to 100% travel across the U.S. Responsibilities include coordinating engineering studies, managing project finances, overseeing quality assurance, and handling subcontracting processes. Overview:
As a Solar Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing solar projects from the lead phase to completion, ensuring that each project is executed effectively and efficiently.
Location & Travel Details: This is a traveling position requiring up to 100% travel across the U.S., where you will work onsite at project locations. You may spend 8-12 months at average per project site. A daily per diem is provided in addition to your base salary to assist with living expenses. This role also includes routine travel home during your assignment, and a vehicle allowance will be offered.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate various engineering studies and change order requests.
• Work closely with clients and engineers to address specifications and technical queries during planning stages.
• Manage project finances, including job cost tracking and monthly revenue predictions.
• Oversee quality assurance and control (QA/QC) throughout projects.
• Handle subcontracting processes, including creating subcontracts, managing payments, and resolving any disputes with clients.
• Prepare monthly billing procedures and ensure accurate invoicing.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in the Solar or EPC construction industry.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
• Commitment to health and safety principles.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to analyze project-related documents.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Capable of performing mathematical calculations relevant to project management.
